New Build Homes and Refurb Of Former Pub In Cheshunt Herts. Work has started to refurbish the pub and the groundwork for the new build homes.
We are converting the Grade II listed former Green Dragon Pub in Cheshunt to four flats. A further seven new homes are being built in the large car park.
The coaching inn dates back to 1627. The Harvey family have strong roots in Cheshunt, we were absolutely delighted to secure this development. Our family have been in the pub many times. The new homes are directly opposite St Mary’s Church which is grade 1 listed.
Our Architects have designed a development that will secure the long term future of this vacant, historic pub; whilst providing high quality much needed new homes.

The building actually dates back to 1590 as part of the Spanish ambassador’s residence. James 1 often resided at Theobalds Park, Cheshunt. The building was soon turned into a courthouse and in 1627 became a coaching inn and a stop for coaches to London.
